KFC / SANDWICH TO SPACE
To promote KFC's Zinger chicken sandwich, a sandwich already famous around the world, we knew there was only one place left to go. And that place is space. We sent a chicken sandwich to space. Yes this is real. It all started off with a TV announcement from our new Colonel Sanders, played by Rob Lowe. Then, with the help of a very talented team of engineers at Media Monks, we built the most sophisticated bucket-shaped space vessel the world has ever seen. Not only was it able to successfully protect our beloved Zinger chicken sandwich from the harsh elements of space, but it could wave a flag, receive tweets from Earth and take selfies. For reals. Then after months and months of insane work and meetings with our space exploration and technology partners World View, where complicated things like trajectory and omnidirectional microwaves were discussed, we successfully launched our sandwich to space (well, technically the stratosphere…). And because real space people told us it's not a real space mission until you have a real space mission patch, we made some of our own and sold them in KFC's online store.

Thanks to a new ad campaign from KFC, there is now a chicken sandwich floating above the earth.
2017. Wieden+Kennedy Portland Yes, we actually sent a chicken sandwich to space. With the help of WorldView, we launched the world's first commercial Stratellite on its maiden voyage with KFC's Zinger sandwich. On top of the Stratellite, we built a space-proof KFC bucket that could withstand the harsh conditions of the stratosphere, and the internet.
